Tutorial

When working in 3D you would probably like to configure the tool to meet your special needs, and from my own experience I can tell you that more visibility is one of the top priorities.

From the following image it is obvious that you are supposed to work in tiny little corner with you huge scary creatures, which is by the way time consuming. But if we ave a closer look we might find that we don't need most of the useless (for the very moment) toolbars. So turn on the music and let's start.

By clicking those little arrows at the begining of the toolbar you will hide it for good.

At the beginning you will probably be using only help line and transformation tools. (Maybe "Shelf" for faster access to primitives, but create menu is satisfactory for my personal needs). If needed they can be turned back on by holding right mouse button on any toolbar.

You might also consider assigning shortcuts for the functions you use most.
Windows-->Settings/Preferences-->Hotkeys...

Don't forget to SAVE!!! you can always restore to defaults in case you totally f*** up.
